A Page About Me

First, here’s a tin-type portrait of me holding a baby seal:

I spent a decade and a half on set, directing and editing smaller commercial projects (and the occasional short film) while I climbed the NYC TVC production ladder. In 2017 I moved from production into pitching. I’d managed budgets long enough to know I’d have more fun developing ideas than balancing line items.

Since stepping away from set, I’ve created hundreds of commercial pitches with dozens of creatives. I love it, and I appreciate all the cool people I’ve worked with over the years that allow me to keep doing it.

Fun fact — I also write. I’ve published short stories in the US and UK, and I occasionally ghostwrite treatments. Happy to share samples on request.

The seal isn’t real.

My weird hands probably gave that away. This was an iPhone snap of a tin-type family portrait. In the original, I’m holding my four month old son, who kind of looked like a baby seal at that point, so it wasn’t much of a stretch for the AI.

That blue light at the top is a reflection from the window nearby. I left it in for authenticity.

Perfectly imperfect, right? :)
